This picture is really interesting because it looks like this couple is dining on water. You can see their reflection in the water and it looks like they on simply on the top of it. There is a sign to the side that says flood which is pointing out the obvious. It doesn't look like the flood it deep though, but it does look like the water is everywhere. The two people in the picture look like ta couple enjoying themselves and possibly looking at something. The guy looks like he has a smirk on his face while he is trying to talk. His arm is pointed up and it looks to be pointing at something. The woman is not facing the camera and her head is tilted like she is looking at whatever the man is pointing at. That leaves me to believe they are looking at something and talking about it. They also have beer at their table which indicates they are might be enjoying themselves. I'm not really sure where they are at, but the structure of the buildings look different than the ones I have seen. They don't looks modern as most buildings are now of days so I assume they are older. I would take a wilder guess and assume they are in Europe somewhere. I have seen a lot of movies that take place in Europe and some of the structures look similar. If they are in Europe though, they must be in a place that speak English. The sign does say flood and it is spelled in English. So there is a good chance they might not be in Europe. There are various places they could be at.
In the image above, there are two people sitting at a table enjoying a couple drinks. what is interestin about the picture is that the table and chairs they are sitting at are in the middle of water. It looks as though the road where the chairs and table normally set got flooded, yet the people still decide to sit there and enjoy a couple of beers. The man looks as though he is telling the woman he is with an interesting story because of the use of his hands and how he looks like he is deeply interested in whatever he is talking about. I wonder how deep the water is that they are sitting in. Probably not very considering the chairs arent floating away. Unless the chairs legs and super long. However, the seems pretty unlikely. The yellow umbrella stands out among the rest of the scenery. While most of the picture is filled with red brick buildings and the people have on darker colors, the yellow of the umbrella really pops. This may have been purposeful when the photographer took the picture. Also the fact that it says "Sol" on the umbrella may have a deeper meaning. It could mean that while the town these people are in is flooded, they are still happy and enjoying a nice day together. While surrounded by destruction, more or less, there is still hope and optimism.
I think it's weird how they're sitting in a flood area that kind of looks like it's flooded. There's even a road sign that says it's a flood area. I don't think I'd be sitting there if I was them because I hate walking in water like that. I think they're in a different country because the architecture is different than around here and "Sol" on the umbrella means sun in Spanish if I remember correctly. The woman's kind of short because her feet don't touch the ground. Unless of course she's doign that on purpose to not sit her feet in the water. THe man is describing soemthign to her, soemthign tall maybe? or far away? because his arm is stretched out and the woman is looking in the direction that his hand is going. It doesn't look that sunny there however, he's still wearing sunglasses which is weird. I can tell there's a church in the background because I see the tall steeple. I can't really tell the age of the woman because I can't see her face. I would assume she's about as old as the man looks on the left but she doesn't realyl have gray hair and she's wearing skinny jeans and converse that I don't think a woman of older age would be wearing. You can tell the man is older because of his gray hair. It looks like the entire street is flooded, not just the area where they're sitting. You can s ee the water way down the street in the picture. It doesn't even look liek still standing water either, it kind of looks like it's flowing a little. The windows of the building behind them have gray brick over the top of them. The table the couple is sitting at is tiny. It's funny how the umbrella says "Sol" meaning sun when it looks kind of gloomy out side. Although it may not be gloomy, it just looks that way because the screen is darker or since it's actually gloomy outside now it looks like it.
I assume its an Englihs speaking country... Besides the umbrella, all the signs are in English. It's a lot of old architecture though. Somewhere in Europe? The Spanish umbrella would make sense. I'm sure they're just drinking iced tea.The fact that they're drinking and having a good time in the middle of a flood is kind of cool... Raises the question whether this is just a cool picture or if some hot shot photographer went out looking for something amazing. Either way it's a cool juxtaposition. "Warning, flood, danger... sit down and have a drink! We've got time." I'm also wondering whether the man is guesturing from normal conversation or if he's pointing somethng out. I feel like he's pointing at something, because the woman's head is turned. It almost looks as if he's reaching for the sun on the umbrella. I'd make some lame comment about reaching out for something better and brighter, but I doubt it's that deep. I think he's just an animated guy having a good time. On a somewhat related subject, I take poetry too literally. I'm only concerned with what's actually happening, and I always think the subtle interpretations are grasping at nothing. I think I'm basing that off of how I would personally write poetry... If I had an important point to make, I would make it unmistakably clear. So blatant and poignant that it would be impossible to ignore. That's why I think that when we find these heavy-handed messages hidden deep within a poem, I think that we're reaching at something that isn't there. Like this poem... I bet some people could think of a hundred and one incredibly important morality lessons hidden in this picture, but I think it's just some friends or a couple sharing drinks despite some bad weather. On a much less serious note, the "Flood" sign cracks me up. It's trying so hard to make itself seem important and it's completely unnecessary. Everyone knows its flooded. That's my weird sense of humor, not my subtle intepretation of a hidden message on our own relative importance in this world.. btw. Thirty seconds. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Twenty seconds. This architecture has interested me quite a bit... very interesting.
Jefferey and Amelia are on the final leg of their world tour. They've been following the famous rapper 2 Chainz on his global tour and now they are stopped in Amsterdam. The plane they were supposed to take was cancelled because the airport they had booked their tickets with has recently ran out of jet fuel and was now converting to a train station. Jefferey and Amelia were not about to be the first passengers on the first ever Atlantic railway. So they decided to sit by a bar outside in the middle of a shallow river on an overcast day with the sun over head. Suddenly Jefferey remembered that he had left his 2 chains at their last hotel in Moscow. He raised his hands to the Heavens and screamed, "Why me? Why me?!" He then put his head in his hands and wept. His wife looked over at where he was pointing and gasped. For a beam of light was pointing down into the river where they were sitting. There was something glistening and she bent down and picked two bracelets. Sure they weren't Jefferey's chains, but they did the job for him. The both took sips of their drinks and spat it out and yelled, "I hate cold cider!"
Two people drinking beer in what I assume are Jesus chairs, considering their apparent ability to float on water. Is the sign in the background that reads "flood," actually necessary? It's quite obvious the street is flooded. Imagine being blind, walking along, poking your stick at the ground when all of the sudden it hits water. What do you do? "Oh, must just be a puddle." and move on? I doubt it.
These two people must have been really motivated to have a beer in the middle of a flooded street. They appear to be mostly dry, also. Are you a wizard?
This is a picture of a couple sitting in the secluded water town of Atlantis. It is miles below the average sea level. They are sitting back relaxing as one of thier local beer breweries have exploded and you can see the contents everywhere. The entire town is knee deep in beer. The two pictured are the countries leading beer drinkers Old Man Paul, and his son Dustin Heiber. They have been tasked with the momumental task to clean up the city, by drinking all the beer. This picture shows the very first glass of the two drinkers right before they start their ploy to save their country. But right before their heroism could take place, something very dark happened. Someone showed up that wasn't supposed to. It was Old Man Paul's nemesis, The Dark Sight! The Dark Sight is a blind super villian that rarely shows his face in public and only chooses to whenever there are large amounts of people available in a single place. This is because The Dark Sight is blind and can't see very well in the day time so he only comes out whenever he needs to. "Old Man Paul" screams the Dark Sight, trying to get a reaction so he can know where Old Man Paul is. "O no! It's the Dark Sight!" cries the townspoeple. Everyone scurries around creating lots of noise. This gives the Dark Sight time to listen and hear where everyone is. He swoops in and Old Man Paul lunges his hand forward to notify everyone on the whereabouts of the Dark Sight. "There he is!" Snap! This is exactly when the photo was taken. The Dark Sight swoops in and snatches Dustin up with his huge talons.
There is a man and a woman sitting at a table outside. They are on some sort of sidewalk that is either very shiny or wet. They are drinking beers and sitting under an umbrella that has the word "sol" on it, which means sun in spanish. It looks as if they are in a place that isn't in America based on the architecture of the buildings. They may be in Mexico or Spain or some other Spanish speaking country. That must be water because to the right there is a sign that says flood. It is in English so they might not be somewhere foreign. I'm not sure. It looks like the man is talking about something off to the left of the picture, his hand is in the air pointing that general direction and the woman's head is turned looking over that way. I wonder what it could be. Maybe they are talking about some sort of building or they are talking about the weather and the sky. I'm not sure of that either. It looks like there is water everywhere on the ground behind them in the background. Then man looks like he might be from a spanish decent of some sort. I wonder why they are the only people sitting out there? Maybe there are other tables that are just beyond the borders of the picture, but there are just no people or tables or cars or anything around there indicating other life forms. There aren't even any birds. I feel like there isn't really any noise going on in the background. Maybe the drilling of hammers or some sort of tool that is trying to get the flood to go away or fix damage of some sort. The building off to the right, not all the way back in the background with the other cluster of buildings, looks interesting. I don't think it is for a living space so maybe it is a library or an antique shop or something. Too many windows to be a church. It looks like there might be a chapel or church further back, just based off of the roof of it an design of the building. I wish I knew where they really were and what was happening. I keep coming back to if all of that on the ground is really water or not. The woman is sitting in a manner with her feet lifted up out of the water as if that is water and she does not want to get too deep into it. The man also seems to be sitting that way. Maybe the table isn't a normal size table. It actually looks like it might be a bar table and they are in bar stools. That would make sense, with the beers and being outside on the patio of whatever restaurant they are at. If they are even at a restaurant. Maybe they just live nearby and that is a random table set aside for anyone wanting to take a break from touring or walking or whatever.
These two people look like they are evaluating what is around them. The man is showing the girl some things that are interesting to him. They are drinking beer, which means it is a low key conversation. Underneath their feet is all water, which means it must have rained recently. It looks like they are above ground surface, which would mean it had flooded. Above them is an umbrella that says "sol," which means "sun" in Spanish. This is contradictory since it is mostly dreary and not sunny at all outside. It stands out in the piture. Additionally, the man is wearing sunglasses, which is strange since they are obviously not needed. The setting looks like they are in a different country. The architecture looks different than most architecture in the United States. There is only one table (the table they are sitting at) in the whole picture. This is strange because usually when there are several tables together in an area like that. There is no one else around, possibly because of the weatehr. No one usually wants to sit outside on a day like this. There is a sign next to them that reads "Flood." This could mean that there is often a flood where they are, and it is normal for them. After all, they do not seem to be bothered by the standing water underneath them. I assume that the person sitting across from the man is a girl, but it could possibly be a boy also. The short hair, jacket, pants, and sneakers could go with either gender. The fact that I cannot see the person's face makes me wonder. I would like to see the look on her face. Is she sad, happy, surprised, bored, or what? This could help me figure out what their converstation consists of. Overall, the picture makes me wonder exactly what is going on since it is not obvious.
The picture has two people eating at a cafe table, but it's not really a cafe unless there is something else somewhere that we can't see. They're sitting under an umbrella that says Sol which means sun, but it doesn't look that sunny. It actually looks rather cloudy. The man is reaching for something, or that's what it looks like. I guess he could just be trying to get the waiter's attention for the check. Why did they even sit down? All they have is coffee. They look like they're in a pretty beautiful city; they should go walk around and look at pretty things. Also, they're on a river. I don't know how, but it looks like their little cafe table in sitting on top of a river. There's a sign that says flood, so maybe their river is going to flood, or the ground flooded and made it turn into a river-type thing. How are they sitting in the middle of a river? It's not possible. You know, I think they are on a river because neither of them is touching their feet to the ground, so it's not like a puddle or something small like that. But what are the chairs sitting on? I mean really, they need to be on something. Where are they? Okay, just realized they're not actually sitting under the umbrella, it's way far away. Also, it doesn't have a reflection on the water. Was it photoshopped in? Why would someone photoshop in an umbrella, that's dumb. They must have been trying to make a point, but I don't get it. Maybe it does have a reflection and I just can't see it. How is the waiter with the check going to get to the middle of a river thing? Are they in Europe? Those looks like foreign buildings to me, but I'm no expert. Where ever it is, I might want to go there. I bet there would be a lot of shopping and looking at amazing foreign things.
The picture appears to be a man and a woman sitting down for drinks on a flooded street. I assume, based on architecture, that they are some place in Europe.I'm left wondering why how they can sit so casually during a flood? Maybe they are used to flooding? I could guess that this may be the answer based on the sign in the background that says flood, but I am not entirely sure. I also wonder why there is no one else in the photo. I wonder who they are both looking at? I assume by his enthusiastic looking hand gesture that it is someone he knows. I notice that the water is not very deep where they are sitting, but it does appear much deeper in the background. Maybe this is because they are sitting on a hill? Something that strikes me as strange is the fact that the person in green is wearing boots, that I assume are to keep his feet dry, but the other person is wearing tennis shoes. Aren't their feet going to get extremely wet if they walk some place else?
It was the first bright, cool day since it had started raining. I really hate free writing, especially when other people are going to see it . In other news, the sun was shining on the little plaza in the center of the town. And people were drinking beer, apparently, which is really not a very smart thing to do at all. I mean, it's a bright, happy day, and they're drinking. There are so many other things they could be doing. If nothing else, they ought to be drinking coffee. Or warm tea, if they prefer. After all, it seems a little chilly based on the way they're dressed. But beer. What a weird thing. Oh, well. I suppose it's really none of my business. The town looks pretty, though. It's all old, and fashionable, and old-fashioned. I really hope the street they're on is made of cobblestone, because I personally happen to really like cobblestone. Speaking of cobblestone streets, I am so looking forward to going back to Pana.... In Pana, people either drink excessively or not at all. Culturally, this scene just wouldn't happen in Pana. I think I'd like to live someplace like Pana when I grow up. Not because of the alcohol thing, but just because it's so beautiful. So, at this point, I'm running out of things to talk about.... That fish is cool. So, wetness. The street is wet. With water, presumably. Rain. Rain can symbolize sadness, depression, but also renewal and new life. But this picture is just a picture of real life, not necessarily symbolic. Yay, the fish is done!
In this picture there are many things happening. First, in the center we see two people drinking and conversing. The man on the right has his hand raised and his olive green sleeve starts to fall down his arm. On his other wrist he has a watch which is reflecting light back into the camera lens. The person who he is talking to has their back turned looking at what the man is motioning to. In the background we see many buildings that seem to be older. Also, we see street signs that we are not accustomed to. This leads me to believe this photo was taken somewhere in Europe as the signs resemble some I was in England. Also, we can guess the area is prone to flooding as the flood sign is a permanent pole where ti sign itself hinges down when there is no standing water. We also see flood preparations that were made in advance of this storm. We see plywood or particle board trying to hold water out of the courtyard on the right and blue tarps covering stuff inside the courtyard. We can also assume the water still got into the courtyard because the white door has a reflection right below it. In the far distancewe see what appears to be a church steeple and it seems to be made of a light colored stone. There are alsto cars visible in the background on an unflooded street. We see brick as the primary building material in this picture, which further strengths my thought that this picture was taken in Europe as the Eropeans are not as into siding and such as we Americans are. The roofs of the buildings tell us a lot because one thinks of old fashioned building when they see the roofs like that. The colors are very nutural and do not convey much about the different buildings and what they are used mor. We can also guess the basement of the building on the right flooded because the water is above the windows and there is no possible way that it is totally watertight.
The image above shows me that even when times are bad, life goes on. Obviously in the image above there is a flood, and although the water covers the street two people are still enjoying a drink and each others company. I could relate this to my life because a lot of times things go wrong whether it be in my relationship, my school work, my family, ect. No matter how bad the situation is, there is always a bright side or something to look forward to.

ReplyDeleteThe picture has two people eating at a cafe table, but it's not really a cafe unless there is something else somewhere that we can't see.
ReplyDeleteI typed something but it said Conflicting Edits and deleted all of it.
ReplyDeleteThe picture appears to be a man and a woman sitting down for drinks on a flooded street.

ReplyDeleteIt was the first bright, cool day since it had started raining.
ReplyDeleteI really hate free writing, especially when other people are going to see it .

ReplyDeleteThe image above shows me that even when times are bad, life goes on.
