Your Favorite Character
Think about your favorite character--either in a film or a book. Describe the character in detail--physically, emotionally, personality, etc. Then explain why this character is your favorite.
Amanda Bynes is my favorite character from She's The Man! Her physical comedy is hilarious with the way she holds her body. She has a comedic personality which makes her really likeable and entertaining to watch. I never get bored watching her and her hilarious self therefore that is why she is my favorite!
My favorite character is Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory. He is tall, lanky, and nerdy. He always has to be right about everything and he has a lot of quirks. He is extremely intelligent and doesn't think anyone is smarter than him. Like a lot of intelligent people, he has no common sense, especially when it comes to what he says. He is my favorite character because he just says whatever he wants and he doesn't let anybody do what he doesn't want them to do and he does it all in a very nonchalant-funny way.
My favorite character is probably the narrator from Fight Club. He's unnammed and is never described physically. But emotionally he's a wreck; he finds his life pointless and he keeps searching for meaning in material goods. He works for a major car company and inspects car defects and the wrecks they cause. He's examining death all the time and he's always covering for the company he works for. He never brings up family, a significant other, or even friends. This is due to his traveling; he flies all around the nation for his job. His apartment is pretty much barren of food since he never stays there. He's so fed up with this way of life that he goes insane; he creates an imaginary friend/ alter ego named Tyler Durden who's everything he could never be: independent, free of material goods, and a total badass. The narrator doesn't know that Durden isn't real though. He thinks Durden is an entirely real person, but secretly he behaves as Tyler when he thinks he's 'asleep,' inciting rebellion and vandalism across the city. The narrator is my favorite character because of the way he's constantly searching for something more in his life. He's looking for enlightenment and when he can't find it, he makes his own in the form of Fight Club. He separates himself entirely from material and financial dependency, and he stops being afraid of his social status and what others think of him.
My favorite character is Katniss from The Hunger Games. Katniss is a young lady who lives in District 12. She is small and fit. She has long hair, but not always the cleanest person. She is extremely hard working for her family who has nothing. She is caring especially of her younger sister. Her mom does not do much for the family, so Katniss takes it upon her own shoulders to provide stability and at least food for the family. Katniss is also courageous. She does not always run away from something that scares her. While in the arena during the Hunger Games, Katniss helps out Rue and also saves Peeta's life even when it may have put her in danger. She is kind of rough around the edges. Her social skills are not very well developed, and it seems like she only feels comfortable around Gale. I like Katniss mostly because of her courage and love for her family. She is a strong girl who came out on top even when doubted. She may not be the most sociable person, but she is kind and caring for those that mean something to her. She would do anything for her friends and family.
My favorite character is Trey Songz. He plays in Chainsaw Massacre. Physically he's perfection. He's tall, handsome, muscular, & black. Mmmmm. But he isn't the best guy personality wise. He seems like he's this amazing, sweet guy who really cares about his girlfriend but really he isn't. He does care about her but not as much as he makes it seem he does. He cheats on her more than once with her bestfriend. He dies in the movie, which isn't surprising, but he dies later in the movie. He does seem to really care about his girlfriend but I don't know if I believe it. He fights for her but I think it wasostly to save himself, too. All together he isn't that great. Other than his looks. But I am going to say, in real life he makes beautiful music & I love him.
My favorite character is Emma in The Lying Game. She is an an attractive girl in her late teens. She is emotionally very strong since she has been through so much. She went from a very rough life to a dream life and never takes a minute of it for granted. She is thankful to all those around her. She is also very nice and thinks of others before herself. She has a big heart. She is very determined and ambitious. She is constantly on a mission to find the missing pieces to everything and does not ever give up. She is a very admirable character. The way she is so strong but at the same time so caring is the way any girl would want to be. She is liked by everyone, but at the same time does not let people walk all over her. It seems that she has everything going for her, but she is very humble about it. This is the kind of girl everyone likes, and she seems to be very happy with herself. I am sure any girl would love to be like Emma.
Thatch. Milo Thatch. Milo Thatch is a character from the movie Atlantis, an animated disney movie. Milo Thatch is played by Michael J Fox. I love this character because he is main character in the first movie that I ever saw at a movie theater so I wanted to be just like him. He was a young skinny man, like I myself am now, and he beleived in something. He believed in the city of Atlantis. He has been researching this his whole life and he finally gets a chance to do what he loves and not only does he discover a lost city, but he saves it as well. He also becomes their next king.
Another character I love is Johnny Depp. He has played everything from a gangster, to a pirate, to a man with scoissors as hands, to a man who owns the most magnificent chocolate faoctory in the world, and many many more. He plays as a lizard in an animated film and a spy that's really a tourist that's really a spy. I love how so many different roles can be played by the same person. It's so incredible!
I would say my favorite character is Scooby, from Scooby Doo. He is a talking dog that eats a lot. He is very funny and he's scared of monsters, but he tries to be brave when he goes with the team for investigations. I like his character mostly because I grew up watching the show and I loved it. He always made me laugh and I wanted a dog like him.
One my favorite characters is the young Maura from American Horror Story. Maura is the ghost maid who works for the family that lives in this haunted house. She is seen by women as this old lady who has worked for a while in that home. To men, she is a young, sexual woman around 25- 30 years old. To the men Maura is very overtly sexual. She is always trying to sleep with them. The women see her as a woman with wise and very useful knowledge. The real reason why I like her is in one episode, she says that people see what they want to see. This is why the men see her as a sexy, young woman and the women see her as a sweet old lady. Also, she is not confident and struggles with self worth. This is the reason that she is always trying to sleep with the men .
My favorite character is Captain Scott Mitchell from the Tom Clancy franchise Ghost Recon. He is my favorite character for a number of reasons. First, he is well grounded as a person. Throughout the books and video games, Mitchell makes numerous difficult decisions. He always balances the well being of his team with the importance of the mission. I think my favorite work with him in it was the book Ghost Recon: Combat Ops because he seems to become more real, unlike the first few works where he has no external conflict other than the mission. He seems like more than the super awesome bad-ass from the games. However, when it comes down to it, Mitchell will still be the super awesome bad-ass.
My favorite character of any film or text is Alex Cross. Alex Cross is a six and a half foot African American detective, living in Washington D.C. Throughout the novels, Cross is challenged with the toughest, most gruesome cases. Cross is not only a detective but also has a degree in Psychology, and before becoming a detective, did private practice. The cases Cross must solve eat away at him, and continually remind him of the killing of his wife, Maria, which gave him the urge to become a detective in the first place. Part of his struggle with being a detective has to do with meeting a new woman, Christine, who makes him question throwing himself into all this dangerous work. Often, he contemplates resigning from the force and beginning private practice again.
Alex Cross is my favorite character because he's an intelligent, clever, and tough individual. Cross is easy to relate to in the way he thinks about things, and describes his feelings in certain situations.
My favorite character is Juliette Barnes from the TV show "Nashville". Physically she is short, and slender. She's very tan with pretty hair and a perfect smile. Emotionally Juliette is not very strong. She gets hurt easily, especially by her mother who has been a drug addict her whole life. Personality wise she's very self confident. She's always flirting with and persuading men. She likes to play games with people to try and get ahead of the game, especially in her career (she's a famous country singer). She'll do anything to get her way. However, you can tell she has a caring and thoughtful heart. She cares for her mom who has the drug addiction and is seen crying over it a lot in different episodes. She falls in love with this NFL football player and is heart broken when his mother won't let him marry Juliette. You can tell that she uses her "tough-girl" personality as a facade for all the things that have hurt her in her life.
I like Juliette for the fact that she has a lot of confidence in herself. I'd like to be more like her in that way, not mean about it, but just more confident. She's still sweet and caring but knows how to stand up for herself.
My favorite character is Janis Ian off of Mean Girls. Janis is a little rough around the edges, and has really crude humor which makes her pretty awesome. Janis Ian looks like a mix between gothic and trashy chic. She wears clothes that are too big and black and apparently her hair is made out of "your moms chest hair." She also has a guy best friend that is "almost too gay to function" but they totally work together. My favorite thing about Janis is that she's not afraid to tell it like it is. She also shows that she cares about her friends and can be sweet by trying to destroy a girl that ruined herself and friends life. She has some of the best quotes within the movie. She is so witty and quick on her humor, that is makes the jokes so much better.
Ariel from The Little Mermaid is my favorite character of all time. She is obviously a mermaid and lives under the sea as she likes to sing about in the movie. Ariel is a fantastic singer, she has the voice of an angel and likes to sing about random things that go on in her life such as wanting to be a part of the human world. She longs greatly to see what it is like to be a human so she is curious. She is also a dreamer for that reason. She has nothing against outside worlds or learning about them. Ariel is known for her flowing locks of red hair, purple seashell bra, and long sea foam green mermaid tail. Emotionally she is confused because she doesn't understand what is wrong with humans, she is carefree and loves having a good time, and she is "daddy's little girl" for King Triton. She would do anything for the people she loves. Ariel is my favorite character because I always envied her when I was a little girl. Being able to sing like her would be awesome and honestly being a mermaid would be the bomb. She's a likable character and is just a teenager trying to have a little fun. Love finds her, her family sticks with her, and she has some awesome adventures that I wish could happen in real life so I could experience them too.
My favorite character is Jean Valjean from the book Les Misérables by Victor Hugo. Physically, he is very strong and mentally he is very intelligent. His personality is my favorite part about him. When the bishop shows him mercy at the beginning of the story, he dedicates his life to serving God and sharing the love and mercy he had received with everyone around him. He uses his intelligence to raise a small town to a place with jobs and factories. If anyone needed a job, they were welcome to come and he would pay them for any work they did, provided they remained righteous. He was also known to go around the town and give people money, but he always did it secretly. When he messed up, he made sure to make it right, even if it meant raising a little girl who wasn't even his own. He always sacrifices his wants and needs to do what he believes is the best thing, and he always thinks about all the consequences before he makes a decision.
My favorite character is Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus Finch is a lawyer in Maycomb County, Alabama. I think the reason that he's my favorite character because he's a hero. The main reason that Atticus is a hero is because he had the courage to defend someone who was helpless in a society filled with racism. At the time, defending a black man in court was something that was dangerous. He had the courage to go against the majority to do what was morally right.
My favorite character is Jean Valjean from Les Misérables, but Miranda already stole that one so I'm going to go with Monseigneur Myriel (aka Monseigneur Bienvenu), who is the bishop in Les Misérables. Physically, he is very old, but his mind is still sharp. I think emotionally he is very stable; he stays pretty calm even in the face of adversity, and he hardly ever gets angry. He has a very generous and compassionate personality, and he always shows more concern for other people than for himself. I like him so much because of his compassion. He gives nearly all of his income to the poor, and he consistantly goes out of his way to care for others. He shows mercy to Jean Valjean while no one else would give him a chance. And even when Jean Valjean steals from him, Monseigneur Bienvenu not only forgives him for stealing the silverware but gives him the candlesticks as well. This extraordinary act of kindness and mercy changes Valjean's life forever, and Valjean goes on to show this same kindness and mercy to many other people. Thus, through his unselfish compassion, Monseigneur Myriel made a huge impact in the lives of a lot of people.
Amanda Bynes is my favorite character from She's The Man! Her physical comedy is hilarious with the way she holds her body. She has a comedic personality which makes her really likeable and entertaining to watch. I never get bored watching her and her hilarious self therefore that is why she is my favorite!
